Miami-Dade County provides post-Hurricane Milton updates
As Miami-Dade County supports relief efforts statewide in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, we remain committed to keeping our residents informed with timely updates on departmental operations, safety measures, and available resources.
“Your safety is always our top priority. We’re grateful to all the men and women of our County teams, and our community partners, who helped keep us safe and informed throughout this event,” said Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. “To our residents: Thank you for heeding our calls and being prepared. This storm is a stark reminder of how critical it is that we remain ready throughout hurricane season – as we continue to see more major hurricanes and storms that rapidly intensify, and small shifts in the forecast make a huge difference.”
Early today, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue’s (MDFR) Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) Florida Task Force One (FL-TF1) deployed to the Tampa area to provide critical support, including search and rescue operations, infrastructure assessments, and relief distribution, and the Miami-Dade Police Department will send their Rapid Deployment Force (RDF) tomorrow morning.
