Home Chemical Drop-Off Mobile Events

Home Chemical Drop-Off Mobile Events allow residential customers to dispose of items that can otherwise potentially harm the environment. These events are free and open to all Miami-Dade County residents.

Miami-Dade County Residential Home Chemical Drop-Off Mobile Events accepts household hazardous waste and electronics. ID is required. Present a valid State of Florida driver's license or identification card to verify your property address.

New for 2026

We're now offering document shredding to all Miami-Dade County residents (subject to availability) at no extra charge, at all of the Home Chemical Mobile Events listed below. Limit two (2) bankers boxes or equivalent per person. Be sure to remove any paper clips prior to shredding your paper. Also, make sure the paper isn't laminated or covered with a plastic or wax coating prior to shredding.

Drop off events take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and are only open to all Miami-Dade Residents. The events are not open for business or commercial use.

Aug. 1 - Palm Springs North TRC

Sept. 12 - Golden Glades TRC
Oct. 3 - West Perrine TRC
Nov. 14 - Sunset Kendall TRC

- Pack all containers upright in sturdy boxes
- Tighten lids and caps on all containers
- Place leaking containers in a larger container, along with absorbent material such as newspaper
- Make sure all containers are labeled. If the original label has fallen off, re-label it with the contents or any information you have or label it "Unknown Chemicals"
- Oil-based paints
- Pesticides, solvents
- Pool chemicals
- Electronic items: computer monitors and televisions, personal computers, keyboards, hard drives, printers, VCR's, audio and video equipment
- Communication equipment: cellular telephones and hand-held radios
- Unbroken fluorescent light bulbs, including the older, long-tube fluorescents, modern compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) and other fluorescent types
- Latex paints that are still in liquid form
- Propane tanks (larger tanks such as those used for RV's, forklifts, or fixed kitchen gas supply are not accepted)
- Empty oxygen tanks
- Lead-acid and rechargeable batteries
- Small lithium-ion batteries (button batteries)
- Automotive fluids
- Household cleaning products
- Gasoline and used motor oil (containers holding gasoline or motor oil cannot be emptied and must be left at
