This vibrant district includes the cities of Miami and Miami Beach, including the urban neighborhoods of Brickell and Downtown; the working, industrial Miami River; tree-lined Coral Way neighborhoods like The Roads, Silver Bluff and Shenandoah; the South and Mid parts of Miami Beach; and Little Havana and West Flagler, the colorful center of Hispanic culture.

Commissioner Eileen Higgins Passes Legislation to Strengthen Domestic Leave Policy for Miami-Dade County Employees

The Board of County Commissioners and in alignment with Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Commissioner Eileen Higgins successfully passed an ordinance amending Miami-Dade County’s Domestic Leave Policy, enhancing protections and support for County employees who are victims of domestic violence.
