TransitConnections

Miami-Dade County residents and Transit riders will now have greater access to the latest information about public transportation services and much more through the Department of Transportation and Public Work’s (DTPW) new engagement and outreach program, TransitConnections.

This innovative, grassroots program was designed with the community in mind to increase public awareness about the County’s vast public transit services.

Some of the programs and services that are included:
  • Free and reduced fare programs
  • Financial hardship assistance
  • Special Transportation Service (STS)
  • First-and-last mile options
  • Lost and found
  • Safety and security
  • Community outreach presentation requests
  • Service complaints
  • Guaranteed Ride Home Program
  • Performances by DTPW’s renowned chorale group, Transit Expressions, to build community and make transit journeys more enjoyable.
TransitConnections also touches on the department’s SHIFT305 initiative, an action plan that is revitalizing Miami-Dade County’s public transportation network through safer, cleaner, more reliable and more connected programs and services. TransitConnections also aims to garner interest from the private sector, local universities, and non-profits to collaborate with DTPW on innovative mobility solutions.

Through this outreach initiative, the department is better positioned to inform and empower Miami-Dade County’s residents and visitors to enjoy safe and reliable public transportation options.
