SAFETY TIPS: Everyone should be mindful and follow these few simple guidelines when driving through these intersections:
• Slow Down and Stay Alert: Reduce your speed and pay close attention to signals, warning signs, and gate arm movements.
• Obey All Signals: Only proceed when the gate arm is fully raised, and the red or flashing lights are off. Never try to drive through as the arm is closing nor block the intersection.
• Don’t Rush: If the gate is descending, come to a complete stop. Trying to beat the arm is dangerous.
• Minimize Distractions: Stay focused—avoid using mobile devices or engaging in activities that take your attention away from the road.
• Watch for Pedestrians and Cyclists: Remain aware of others who may also be navigating the intersection.

Construction Updates
September 2023
- Construction has reached the 66% complete threshold.
- All 14 Bus Rapid Transit stations, including the one integrated into the new parking garage on SW 168 Street, are under construction with the stations at Marlin Road and Civic Court nearing completion.
- The roof structure, which is designed to protect riders from weather elements, is nearing completion at most of the 14 stations.
- Part of upgrading to a new Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor is improving the access to the TransitWay at key locations. As such, at SW 264th Street, the road is being widened to accommodate the new infrastructure crucial to BRT operations including fiber for improved signal timing. As a result, new sidewalks and landscaping are also being added.
- Every station will feature center platform level boarding, prepaid fares for faster all-door boarding, and areas for bicycle storage including lids and racks. The new BRT vestibules can now be seen with newly installed tinted glass for these air-conditioned areas. The vestibules will provide a comfortable area for rides to wait for the next bus. Bus arrival times will be clearly available on monitors within the vestibules.
- The entire project is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
