Customers can transfer water and sewer service online through the Self-Service Application (SSA). The online process allows existing customers to request service at a new address, submit the necessary information, and receive a confirmation number for their request.
Before getting started, review the requirements below and have the necessary information available to complete your request.
Before submitting your Transfer Service request, please have the following information available:
The new address where service will be transferred
The date service should be disconnected at your current address
The date service should begin at your new address
Your current contact information
A mailing address, if different from your new service address
To transfer water and sewer service online, you must have a Self-Service Application (SSA) account.
Log in to your SSA account.
Select Transfer Service under Service Requests.
Complete the online request.
Review your information and submit your request.
Save your confirmation number for future reference.
After submitting your request, you will receive a confirmation number. Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department will review your request and notify you of its status.
If additional information is required, a Customer Service Representative will contact you.
Transfer Service requests are typically processed within 2 to 5 business days.Applicable fees, charges, and deposits will be included on your first bill, if required.
Note: Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department account information is considered a public record. However, Florida Statutes 119.071 provides for an exemption for specified individuals regarding the public information from being disclosed. If you qualify for this exemption, please fill out and send this form.
