2025 Golden Ticket Arts Guide provides free admission to older adults for cultural offerings in Miami-Dade
Printed in English, Spanish and for the first-time in Haitian Creole as part of Arts Energize 305
Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs announce the release of the 2025 Golden Ticket Arts Guide, which provides free admission to older adults to cultural events and venues in Miami-Dade County. This year, the guide was printed in English, Spanish, and for the first-time, in Haitian Creole, as part of the new Arts Energize 305 strategic initiative. The Arts Energize 305 initiative aims to increase universal access to the arts and culture while engaging and serving underserved populations and neighborhoods.
"Miami-Dade County is proud to support programs that make arts and culture accessible to everyone, especially our older adults," said Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. "The Golden Ticket Arts Guide is a fantastic initiative that connects our older residents with the rich cultural experiences that make our community so vibrant. By offering free admission to world-class arts and cultural institutions, we are ensuring that everyone—regardless of age—can engage, enjoy, and be inspired by the arts."
The Golden Ticket Arts Guide is age-friendly, featuring large type and is available to Miami-Dade County residents at least 62 years of age. It includes free admission to major cultural festivals, such as the Miami Book Fair International and the Coconut Grove Arts Festival, as well as admission to theater, dance and music performances, and museums and gardens such as Frost Science Museum, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, and the Pérez Art Museum Miami.
"The arts are a fundamental part of our community," stated Miami-Dade County Commissioner Marleine Bastien, District 2. "I requested that the Golden Ticket Arts Guide include Haitian Creole for the first time ever so that all our residents can access these incredible arts experiences in their own language, to explore, enjoy and be inspired by all the arts have to offer."
The Golden Ticket Arts Guide may be requested by calling (305) 499-8755. Copies of the guide are available through the Miami-Dade County Office of the Mayor and Miami-Dade County Commission district offices, the Miami-Dade County Public Library System branches, at senior housing sites through the Department of Housing and Community Development, and through a network of senior centers. The guide is also available online at www.miamidadearts.org where seniors can find current event listings and print digital coupons.
