Participate in an obstacle race for $5

Round up the family and come out to Amelia Earhart Park from 6 a.m. to noon on Nov. 9 for the 8th annual 5k Family Fun Day & Obstacle Course. Run, walk or dive through an exciting and challenging obstacle course while your family cheers you on.

At the end of the race, participants can enjoy fresh fruit and a selection of coffee and delicious treats from the Salty Donut. The Kids Fun Zone will have a rock climbing wall, mini obstacle course and bounce house for their amusement. There will also be face painting and live music. Enjoy prizes, a shopping area full of goodies, fall season merchandise and learning valuable information.

Already registered?

• Employees registered during early registration, which ended Sept. 30, will be entered into a raffle for a large ticket item
• Employees registered by Oct. 17 will be entered into another raffle for a large ticket item
• Employees registered during early registration have double the chances to win a raffle prize

All participants registered prior to Oct. 17 will also receive a WellnessWorks incentive item as a thank you at the event.

• 7:30 a.m. - 5K general race participant
• 9 a.m. - 5K race start closes
• 10 a.m. - 5K awards ceremony
• 10:15 a.m. - Obstacle course waves start

Visit the Petting Zoo at Amelia Earhart Park from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at no additional cost. The Miami Watersports Complex will also be open at an additional cost.

Then, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., enjoy Food Trucks Saturdays and find the perfect desert to end your day of fun and excitement.
