With rainy season underway, mosquito activity is on the rise in Miami-Dade County. Native and invasive species thrive year-round, and increased rainfall creates more standing water where mosquitoes can quickly breed. The County's Mosquito Control continues responding to service requests and treating areas most at risk.
Residents are reminded to Drain and Cover to help reduce mosquito populations and prevent the spread of diseases like dengue, malaria, and chikungunya. Drain standing water around your home and cover exposed skin with repellent or protective clothing.
To report a mosquito problem, submit a service request or call 311.
