A multimillion-dollar grant is set to provide housing for hundreds of families in South Florida, as part of a larger plan to lower housing costs nationwide. This new grant will go toward redeveloping Culmer Place and Culmer Gardens in Miami’s Overtown neighborhood.

Commissioner Keon Hardemon and Mayor Daniella Levine Cava kicked off Miami-Dade County's new tree planting initiative at the Joseph Caleb Center in Liberty City. The program aims to lower heat temperatures and heat-related risks by covering 30 percent of the county with tree canopies by 2030.
