Building Fees, Payments & Refunds
Permit Fee Sheets
Permit Fee Sheets must be submitted as part of a permit application, when applying for electrical, mechanical, or plumbing permits. Permit fee sheets break down the cost of the permit by category. There are three categories of permit fee sheets:
If fee sheet states "needs processing", then plans must be submitted.
Premise Permit Fee
In accordance with provisions of the Florida Building Code and Chapter 10 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, each firm or organization in Miami-Dade County which performs its own maintenance work with certified maintenance personnel, as well as helpers there under, may pay to Miami-Dade County an annual master and Subsidiary Facility Permit (Premise Permit) - fee in lieu of other fees for maintenance work.
Such fee shall be paid to Miami-Dade County and such permit shall be renewed annually at a fee.

Rejected Payments
Banking institutions have their own business regulations, which are completely unrelated to our online payment applications and out of our control to amend.
Once a transaction is submitted, if it is rejected due to address issues, the issuing bank locks the funds for 2 to 3 days depending on those individual regulations.
After that time has elapsed the funds are released, and only the successful transaction is charged to the customer’s account. The fact that the transactions are rejected once the bank issues the warning is indeed a good security procedure to protect the customers against fraudulent charges.
Credit card transactions are often rejected by the credit card company when the billing address that you entered in the web page does not match with address the credit card company has on record.
Permit Cancellations and Refunds
Applicants requesting cancellation of an expired permit will be required to pay a fee to cover the cost of cancellation review and inspection. The fee is $72.00 per permit and must be paid at the time of cancellation request.
For more information on permit cancellation procedures, refer to the Procedures for Refunds and Permit Cancellations sheet.
