MIAMI-DADE COUNTY OPENS VOLUNTARY EVACUATION CENTER FOR MOBILE HOMES
As we continue to monitor Hurricane Milton and its likely impacts in Miami-Dade County, Mayor Daniella Levine Cava has announced the opening of an evacuation center for residents of mobile home parks who are voluntarily evacuating.
The E. Darwin Fuchs Pavilion, located at 10901 Coral Way, Miami, FL 33165, is a pet-friendly evacuation center for mobile home residents who wish to relocate. The evacuation center will open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
For individuals who are in need of assistance for transportation to the Fuchs Pavilion, Miami-Dade Transit will be providing transportation. Please call the 311 Contact Center to coordinate your pick-up location. The 311 Contact Center is open extended hours until 10 p.m. tonight, and from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. tomorrow, Oct. 8.
All residents are advised to remain calm and stay tuned to radio and television broadcasts and the official social media channels for Miami-Dade County for further advisories. If you’re voluntarily evacuating and have the opportunity to stay with friends and family, we encourage you to make these arrangements.
If you plan to relocate to the Fuchs Pavilion evacuation center, please click here for details on what to bring with you.
All residents should complete their preparedness plans to protect their homes and seek safe shelter.
For the latest information and updates, Miami-Dade County residents should monitor radio and television stations or visit http://www.miamidade.gov/milton, call the 311 Contact Center, and follow @MiamiDadeCounty and @MiamiDadeEM on X and Facebook.
MEDIA NOTE: Parking Instructions – Everyone should enter the fairgrounds through Gate 2 located at SW 109 Avenue and SW 24 Street.
